On February 17, 2026, in accordance with the Action Plan of the Engineering and Pedagogical College of Dushanbe and at the initiative of the Department of Professional Pedagogy and Languages, a training seminar entitled “The Ways of Learning English” was held within the framework of the implementation of the State Program for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning Russian and English Languages in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.
The seminar was opened by the Head of the Department of Science and Innovation, Vohidov Zevarsho Olimkhonovich. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of learning foreign languages, especially English as a language of international communication. He noted that the effective implementation of the State Program contributes to enhancing teachers’ professional competence and improving students’ language proficiency.
The speakers then delivered engaging and informative presentations:
Saidova Malohat, a lecturer of the Department of Professional Pedagogy and Languages, presented a report entitled “English is the Language of Communication”;
Usmonova Munavvara, a lecturer of the same department, delivered a presentation on “The Ways of Learning New Words”;
Aminzoda Ibrohim, a second-year student of the college, presented on “The Ways of Learning English”;
Isakova Muslima and Ismonova Maryam, first-year students of the college, delivered a joint presentation entitled “To Know a Language Is to Know the World.”
During the seminar, participants discussed issues related to modern methods of teaching English, ways of enriching vocabulary, and developing communicative skills. In the concluding session, an open discussion was held, during which participants exchanged views and put forward proposals aimed at further improving the educational process.
