In order to implement the Executive Order No. 951 dated January 1, 2026, issued by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, as well as in accordance with the instruction of the Committee for Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the first stage of the Republican Contest “Furughi Subhi Donoi Kitob Ast” was held at the Engineering-Pedagogical College of Dushanbe from February 16 to 21, 2026.
The contest was organized with the aim of enhancing reading culture, developing scientific thinking, broadening cultural outlook, and fostering interest in reading among teachers and students, as well as creating favorable conditions for engaging young people in the study of scientific and literary works.
The event was opened by the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Fakhriddin Denbegievich Misraliev, who in his speech emphasized the importance of books as the primary source of knowledge and a vital means of forming a harmoniously developed personality. It was noted that this contest is one of the significant cultural and educational initiatives of the state and plays an important role in strengthening national self-awareness and improving the level of education.
The Deputy Director for Science and International Relations, Shahlo Zaripovna Huseinova, acquainted the participants with the Contest Regulations and the composition of the commission, and wished the contestants success. It was emphasized that the evaluation process is conducted in accordance with the principles of objectivity and transparency.
During the first stage of the contest, a total of 345 teachers, students, and pupils participated in four nominations, demonstrating their knowledge, skills, public speaking abilities, and analytical thinking to the jury members.
The event was held at a high organizational level, in an atmosphere of creativity and inspiration, generating strong interest and support among the participants.
